What types of activities do you offer for adult musicians?

We offer retreats, courses and workshops for adult musicians, combining music practice, collaboration and creative expression with yoga, mindfulness and opportunities to connect with peers from around the world.

Do I need prior experience to join your programs?

No prior experience is required! We welcome all levels of musicians, from hobbyists to professionals.

What is the typical retreat schedule like?

Each day combines music sessions, yoga, masterclasses, workshops, and nature activities. Evenings include meals, free time, and optional Open Mic sessions. The retreat concludes with a final concert. A detailed sample schedule is available here:

How many participants do you usually have?

We keep the retreats small and intimate, typically with 12–16 participants, to ensure a personalized and supportive experience in both music and wellbeing activities.

What kind of musical styles are explored during the retreat?

We explore a wide range of musical styles, including classical, folk, jazz and other contemporary approaches. Participants are welcome to bring any repertoire they enjoy playing, either solo or in ensembles. In addition, the organization proposes an ensemble program, which is shared with all participants prior to the retreat.

What type of food will be offered during the retreat?

We offer healthy Mediterranean-style food, made with local products from local providers. Meals include a variety of options such as salads, fresh fish and meat, vegetables, pasta, and legumes. We’re happy to accommodate all dietary needs and allergies. Enjoying good food is an important part of the retreat

Can I perform my own repertoire?

Absolutely! Participants are encouraged to bring any repertoire they’d like to play, either solo or in ensembles. The retreat offers a relaxed and supportive environment to share music and explore different styles.

Is there an age limit to participate?

The retreats are designed for adult musicians, with no upper age limit

I’m traveling on my own — can I have a private room?

Yes, absolutely. Many participants join the retreat on their own and can enjoy a private en-suite double room without sharing.

Can I share a room with someone else?

Shared rooms are usually arranged for people traveling together (friends, siblings, couples), but if two solo travelers would like to share, we’re happy to arrange this when possible. Just let us know your preference when you contact us.

Can I attend the retreat with a non-musician companion?

Yes, absolutely. It’s possible to attend the retreat with a non-participant companion. They can share your room and would only need to cover accommodation and meals. Participation in yoga sessions may also be possible, depending on availability. Please contact us in advance so we can discuss the options and make the necessary arrangements.

What is the weather like in Asturias?

Asturias has a mild and pleasant climate, especially in spring and summer. Temperatures are generally comfortable, with warm days and cooler evenings. It’s much cooler and greener than southern Spain, making it ideal for outdoor activities without extreme heat.

What type of yoga is offered during the retreats?

Our retreats include a mix of Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga, all thoughtfully adapted for adult musicians. Sessions focus on posture, flexibility, breathing and relaxation, and also include breathing techniques and meditation to support both physical and mental wellbeing.

I’ve never practiced yoga before — can I still participate?

Yes, absolutely. Our yoga sessions are open to all levels, including complete beginners. The focus is on comfort, awareness and wellbeing rather than performance.

How much is the deposit and when is the balance due?

To reserve your place, a 30% deposit is required. This deposit is non-refundable, but transferable to another Winds&Flow retreat or to another person, within 12 months of the original retreat date.

The remaining balance must be paid 2 months before the retreat begins.

When does the retreat start and end?

The retreat begins with arrivals from around 4:00 pm. The first afternoon includes a welcome session and a gentle activity, usually in nature, followed by supper and an optional open mic session for anyone who would like to start playing and sharing music from the very first day.

The retreat concludes with morning activities and breakfast, and finishes around midday. If you need to arrive a little earlier or later, we’re happy to be flexible where possible.

What is the nearest airport and how do I get to the venue?

The closest option is Asturias Airport (OVD), located approximately 25–30 minutes by car from the venue. Other convenient airports include Santander (SDR) and Santiago de Compostela (SCQ), both around 2.5 hours by car, as well as Bilbao (BIO), approximately 3 hours awayMadrid (Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport), around 4 hours and 50 minutes by car.

From all airports, the venue can be reached by car rental and in some cases by public transport. We are also happy to help participants explore the best travel option and coordinate shared transfers whenever possible.
